:: April 2008 - Pablo is 'dead'
Hey y'all,
We had a smashing tour with Rubix Cuba, up and down the East Coast. We would like to thanks the Pablo(s) on bass throughout the tour. However, before the release of the new CD, we need a permanent bass player, in particular to tour thoroughly in Australia and overseas again. If you're interested, please email me.
We'd also like to thank the organisers of the Youth Week 2008 shows we played at Bankstown PCYC and in particular the lovely people in Tathra (near Bega) in NSW who organised Boombox. I think Tathra stands as the only place where we have ever turned up late and still played to great crowd, and the proceeded to be entertained at the local hotel by a mullet-haired, banjo-playing, belly-dancing gypsy. One of our best weekends away, I dare say.

Recording and Touring
Hey Kids,
Long time, no whinge.
Things have been pretty crazy busy around here. We have been in the studio with our new good friend / producer Ed Rose (Motion City Soundtrack, The Get Up Kids, Limbeck) who has done an amazing job of making us sound like a band.
Have any of you seen 'Josie and the Pussycats' where the producer presses the 'Make-sound-awesome' studio button, and they sound schmicko? Well this was like the marginally less satirical, real-life version of that.
Anyhew, there's still a wee bit more tracking to do, then mixing/mastering etc. The CD won't be out until mid-year at best, as we're planning a long tour to accompany the EP's release here and abroad.
In the meantime - we're hitting the road! We're doing a whole bunch of shows on the East Coast of Australia. The dates are up now, starting with our first Newcastle gig in god-knows-how-long.
And for the few who read my blogs, I'm sorry I haven't posted any of my trials and tribulations of late. In fact, I've barely had any - I've had virtually no contact with a woman (minds out of the gutter people) since Christmas... indeed, many people apart from our bandies.
I hope you're all well. Things this year are actually going... swimmingly. So far.
xo

:: Nov 2007 Update
Hey Kids,
We're back from an awesome tour of the USA - there are some photos and blog entries at our myspace blog. In good news, we will be recording early next year. In Kansas we met up with producer Ed Rose, who has worked on some our favourite records by Motion City Soundtrack, The Get Up Kids and Limbeck. He's flying out in February '08 and we'll be recording a 5 track with him, and looking to release it mid-to-late 2008.

Tour Diary part 1
Hey Kids,
Greetings from Stamford, Connecticut USA. It seems a lot of bands do these things called "tour diaries" whilst spending lengthy times on the road. Now, here at Heartbreak Club, we will flatter ourselves to think that some of you would be interested in seeing what we've been up to, or where we've been.
Alas, due to myspace's strict photo policies, we can only show the sanitized, clean cut images of the trip, and not the copious amounts of decadence and hedonism we so richly endulge ourselves in.
As a quick run down, here is where we have performed in the past 3 weeks:
Los Angeles, CA // San Francisco, CA // Sacramento, CA // Portland, OR // Vancouver, WA // Seattle, WA // Madison, WI // Chicago, IL // Washington, DC // Brooklyn, NY // Manhattan, NY
But we're having a blast on the road. There have been some great shows (San Fran, we're looking your way) and some interesting ones (On the Rox was cool in LA). Except for seeing David Spade there. He's not funny on TV, let alone on the Sunset Strip.
I guess the defining aspect of this tour has been that, no matter what country we're in... I'll always be lonely.
More to come, including images
